Navy Grey Camo and Post Shading
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, March 8, 2009 12:38 AM

OK, so I usually build armor and arty, but I am also knee deep in a 1/48 Academy CH-53E, even got the Eduard PE set and seatbelts. This thing is going to be huge, and I would like it to be a showpiece. What is the best way to paint the grey camo with the panel lines accentuated ?? I really like this model, and am putting alot of work into it(this is also my first time working with PE) and I would hate to screw up a really good build with a bad paint job. Here is the look I am after, Phillip Roache did a phenominal job on this one, and if I could get mine to look half this good, I would die a happy man. Any way, if you have links or how to articles, I would be happy to take notes. Thanks.

This is a slightly off topic question, but I am working on the same kit.

Have you noticed the fit on the fuselage bits to be totally awful? I corrected the warp in the halves but I think I am going to have massive gaps on the bottom piece. I am probably going to be joining the halves tomorrow, or on my days off next week.

I have installed most of the PE on mine and it really does make the thing look better.

Your picture did not come through, so I don't know how much help you will get.

Excuse me.. Is that an Uzi?
