there are the white lenses, just behind the red and blue lights on the outside of the wings and the just above the tail clear lights.  if you look at the pics that were sent.  those are the ones i was asking about.  i wasn't sure if they flashed like the top clearance (red) or not.  do you possibly know if the cobra had landing lights and where were they.  thanks.  my digital camera took a crap, so i can't get pics up right now unless i can get my son to offer his. hehe

Not sure if they flash or not, also not sure if the are white or clear, could be fogged by the weather in Ray's photo. Landing ligh is retracted into the body and covered by closing panel door. Not sure where they are, older Cobra's where on top of the fuseledge just in front of the canopy. They would only be on when the A/C is in the landing patern per FAA reg's

Thanks a lot!  pics and info helps.  got another question tho.  are the white lens also clearance lights and do they flash verses being steady?  thanks again for the info

Do you mean those on the tail boom making the aft end? If so, the ones I worked on were clear, not white. FAA regs use to be flashing on the ground, steady in the air, I don't know if the reg has changed or not

HMMMM!  Could be?!  Looking into lighting it and making the main and tail rotors rotate, and also the gun move side to side.  Still trying to figure out on the up and down for the gun.  I'm planning on taking the guts from an old r/c car my kids had to use for the remote.  Just some of the items going on in my already filled mind (or crazy mind as my wife would testify to)!!

The anti-collision light is on top of the dog house right behind the main rotor, the running lights are on the outsigh of the stub wings. Not sure of the exact location of the landing light, but it is retracted behind a door on the main body

AH-1W Super Cobra Lights

Hey, anyone out there that can tell me exactly where the clearance lights and the anti-collision light go on an AH-1W Super Cobra?  I am trying to incorporate lighting into my build of a 1/35 Cobra w/ NTS update.  Do they also have landing lights and such?  Tried to look online but no such luck.  Thanks for any input.
