Go for the Infantry set. You should get two sets with your order I think. The "Chopper set" is really M60D's (Not M60 A1 as the title suggests). They would be great for a UH-1D/H model Huey though. I just wish the Infantry set included more than one M60.

I just ordered the Proaganda Co 1/48 Vietnam weapons reasin set.  It has a M60A in it like you would need to suspend from a bungee cord in a Loach.  Many Loach gunners actually cut down the barrel to increase maneuverability inside the "killer egg." Good luck with your bird and post your progress.

Well I wasnt expecting that detailed of a response PBR, but thanks man. Really glad you compared it to the tamiya kit, as I have one of those too lol.

Well, thought I'd upload a couple of pics of the two kits side by side...

The AMP Loach parts are in gray plastic...the smaller parts (in my kit) are a little klunky with some flash - but the fuselage is very nicely engraved with fine details...the clear canopy is a bit thick with a wavy appearance close up...and a little heavy handed on the framing detail in my opinion.

The old Tamiya plastic is OD, ...the fuselage detail is pretty good, not as good as the AMP kit IMHO, but the clear canopy is much better, thinner, more delicately rendered and very clear and transparent by comparison.

The old Tamiya kit is hard to beat...but the Eduard PE details in the AMP are great, and they even painted the panel black and the tiny dial faces are done too - and the other instrumentation and seatbelts...wow! ...and of course you get the Miss Clawd decal set.

Maybe I'll put those decals on the Tamya kit...

BTW: Anyone know where I can get a 1/48th bungee M60 MG?

Whiskey...don't know what country you are in ...but judging from the picture (if that is you in the avatar) ...take care and get home soon to look over the kits.

I was going to compare the plastic trees with the Tamiya kit..haven't opened the bag yet.

Didn't like it when I saw the clear parts (including the canopy) in the same bag as the other trees..rubbing against them...

I had been looking for a Loach in Miss Clawd markings...in 1/48th. (There is italeri in 1/72...DML?Dragon in 1/35th)

I had seen where AMP had one available now...was thinking about ordering it but found it at my LHS yesterday,...the Eduard PE is already painted (seatbelts, instruments etc).
