Well, went to the case where I keep the Fine Scale stuff one more time and found what I was looking for.  The article is in 2007's How to Paint and Weather Scale Models special issue.  Don't know if it was a previously printed article or one printed specifically for the special issue.  Now to translate Rev/Germany's paints into something I'm familiar with.

Gino,

Thanks, but not quite what I was looking for.  The article I'm thinking about may have been in one of the end of the year annuals as it dealt specifically with the RevGermany kit.  It's the one with the tiger stripe markings.  That review leads me to believe they are the same kit with different markings though.

Hopefully someone here has a better memory than I do.  I'm building Revell/Germany's Merlin HMA1 for the Fleet Air Arm GB.  If my faulty memory is correct FSM ran an article on the build up of this kit.  I've looked through all the issues that I've got from 2003 onward.  For some reason some issues are missing (I didn't put it back where I found it) and I'm thinking it's in one of those.  Can anyone help?
