Hey thanks guys ...

Avus .... we're more like a virus .... Since we've all finished our own figures more or less at the same time, we've branched out to other forums. I'm here just getting some "research" done for a future build. But, I'm about to hop on the dio forum for my current one.

I think that I found one at the "Hannant's" website, but I've got to contact them to make sure they have it in stock. As far as scratching corrections on an OH-6 or a Defender ... I'd rather not. Scratching things like pouches and gear on figures is MUCH different (IMO) than trying to replicate precise equipment for vehicles and birds.

Thanks again for the help. We'll let you guys know if I found a source for it .... JIC someone else needs/ wants it as well.

Now we only need "Camo Junkie" and the "terrific-trio" from the figures section lands here among the rotor-heads! Big Smile [:D]

To your question: the AH-6J model is hard, if not impossible, to find, but, as pssoff995 suggests, you coud make a conversion starting from one of the MD-500 variants (I did that years ago). Cobra Co's MELB conversion set can help you in this endavour.

The Loach (OH-6) is easier to find since it has been rebxed by Italeri, BUT is a "no-go" since it has four rotor blades and the Y-shaped tail, but if you have the time and will to build the rotorhead and the tail from scratch ...

Dragon seems to re-pop this kit every few years, so watch for re-releases

Those OOP Dragon kits are hard to find sometimes am I right? Some places have them in stock some places say back order... 1/35 Helicopters in general are sometimes hard to find, especially affordable ones.

-this isn’t the little bird, but the MD500 Defender, not sure if they’re close at all... for a civilian like me I figure they’re close enough to scratch some detail and make accurate?? Maybe the front end is too dissimilar.

But I’d check eBay on and off, if you know the box’s “name” (I’d try Dragon Modern 1 35 AH 6J or something?)

Need help finding a OOP kit.....

Looking for a 1/35 AH-6J. The only kit that I know of is an OOP Dragon kit, but I haven't had any luck finding it.

Anyone know someplace that might have some old stock? Not looking to build right now, but I figure I need to get ahold of the kit sometime.

Thanks in advance.
