Eurocopter EC-135

Just got my newly released Revell kit of the EC-135 from Sprue Brothers...

Which I am going to make a icon of our local community with

The thing is huge and flashy...flash on and between the parts! This will take some clean up before assembly. I know the reason why they molded some of the components in orange (which is nothing close to the actual color) but it would have been better to have used the same color plastic throughout.

Visit my blog to find out more about this project...I'll be posting pics once I get crackin on it.

I started the kit last night. Figured it would be a good way to relax after a long day. But it wasn't. The first three parts took a lot of time to sand and clean up to remove the flash and poor molding. Once that was done I started filling in the dimples with putty. This is going to be a long build.

I thought about opening up the aft clamshell doors...but that would be a huge undertaking so I will leave that for the next one I do...maybe.

I'm hoping the aftermarket folks jump on this kit QUICK!

Nice looking EMS bird, flight medics have the coolest rides. Sorry to hear about the kit quality, hope it stays fun along the way Smile [:)]

Good luck on the ThedaStar!

I honestly dont udnerstand how a company like Revell still puts out kits with flash on them, when bandai's new kits have NONE at all, ever.

Also, whats it say on the side of that heli you have the photo of?

also, pics?
