Showboat GB
Posted by modelbuilder12 on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 11:13 AM

This is a GB of your favorite helicopter in 1/72 to 1/16 scale.  The helicopter must be a show helicopter (weathering will make you lose points).  Points are given to paint job, detail, etc (max points for one category is 10).  I will then add up the points (the person with the most points wins).  This will go from 6/10/09 - 8/10/09.  This GB is for fun only, no badge will be awarded.  If you decide to join please state the- Helicopter, model, model manufacturer, scale,  country that the helicopter is from, and any aftermarket and scratch-built parts.  Here are the guidelines;

1. The model must be painted

2. Cannot be a fictional helicopter

3. Aftermarket and scratch-built allowed

4. No scale smaller smaller than 1/72 or larger than 1/16

5. The winner is the person that has the most points

6. Can be from any country

7. Forum rules apply

8. You must post pictures

Hmmm...Sounds interesting. I'm in.
I'll be building DML's MD500D in 1/35 as an American civilian helicopter N58243. Planning on some scratchbuilt details like a few cockpit mods and seatbelts.

Sure wish there'd been a little more warning.  I just got in several Tiger Meet markings for Hinds that I'd love to do.  Unfortunately I'm swamped at the moment.

The idea is not bad at all, BUT to me the start date is too close, yesterday!, and the period of the build is rather short, approx three weeks (06/10/09 - 07/01/2009).
Under these conditions I won't be able to join this build and I think many other fellow modellers.

I suggest you postopone the start date a few days for us to think about it and pick our model and give us a longer build-time, a few months at least.

But you're the boss here and these are just my 2 Euro-Cents.
