Thanks Avus. I wasn't thinking about the dremel. I was already haven't a bit of a fit issue, hence the reinforcement. The canopy is not installed, so I'm pretty sure I can get to the cockpit, but I'm not sure that I could really get to the back. That's what I'm mostly worried about. I'm afraid that if I try to go ahead and spray it as is, that I'll a) miss some spots that I just can't get too, or b) that I'll end up over spraying the exterior and have to sand it ... ruining the raised rivet detail....

I'll give the a number #11 blade a shot and just wait for the "pop". Hopefully, it'll work out in my favor.

Us grown-ups don't make such mistakes!! Big Smile [:D]

I'd suggest a razorblade: it's thin and sharp.
A dremel with a saw-disk would remove too much plastic.

If you haven't installed the canopy, the "office" can be easily accessed in the Little Bird.

Separating fuselage halves??? PLS HELP...
Posted by modelchasm on Friday, June 19, 2009 8:58 AM

Soooooo .... I'm just going to go ahead and show my "rookie-ness" when it comes to aircraft and helos. Since I normally stick to figures and armor, I don't have a lot of experience in building things that mistify us ground troopers by defying gravity ...

I made probably the most classic mistake an 8 yr old can make. Unfortunatly, I'm 30. In my Littlebird build, I just glued the fuselage halves together, reinforced with styrene, and CA .... before I painted the cockpit! Banged Head [banghead]Grumpy [|(]Sign - Dots [#dots]Sigh [sigh]Sign - Oops [#oops]Taped Shut [XX] .... and .... Dunce [D)].

Is there an "easy" way to separate the halves without serious damage? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
