1/48 CH-53E replacement rotor blade
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, June 26, 2009 1:23 AM
OK, so in a tragic moving accident, my newly constructed Academy CH-53e was dropped(damn kids) and the main rotor was broken, as well as a couple of the blades, and the tail section came off as well. I was able to repair the tail section, but the rotor is beyond repair. I have emailed Academy 3 times, but have not gotten a response. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement blade ?? Does anyone know if they make an aftermarket one ?? All help appreciated.

Best thing I can tell you is either a) CALL Academy as they never answer emails, or b) get on ebay or down to the LHS and get yourself another kit.

Sorry for the accident, but they're just plastic and glue .... and blood, and sweat, and .... :)

If memory serves the rotor disc is 7 blades and the kit comes with 8. If you just need a single blade I might have the spare from mine in my parts bin..

If contacting Academy doesn't work let me know.

Excuse me.. Is that an Uzi?

That worked precisely. Send her the UPC and the sprue numbers, and she'll get 'em in the mail.

Thanks for all the help
