Here are a few shots of an MH-6.  You can see that colors are somewhat darker.  Tail numbers and standard aircraft markings are still used.

AH and MH-6 aircraft do have standard markings but they are hard to read given the paint scheme of the aircraft.  I have some photos from an airshow where they had a MH-6 and MH-47 for us to look in.  I took a series of good internal and external photos of both aircraft.  I'll try to figure out how to post on this thread soonest!

The AH-6J Little Bird kit is still available in many hobby shops although I don't think it is in current production. You probably could find them on EBAY or searching some of the one-line stores. I was recently in a store in Mississippi and they had two on the shelf. As for marking, original 160th a/c had no markings but I agree the best way to find out about the marking specific to the Super 6 a/c would be via inquiry to the web site for the 160th SOAR(A). Good luck.

i also want to make a model of the choppers, either super 6-? or little birds,& as such, also need help in the right kit.
as for markings,i'd say try contacting the unit(thru web search ect)i'm sure they'd help if you explained why.
why not donate the diorama to the unit as a tribute to the brave souls involved, just a thought.

Does anyone know where I can find two AH-6 "Little Bird" helicopters? I'm in the process of constructing a 3' x 8' sandtable diorama of the Somalia incident. If anyone has any info about this event, I would appreciate the help. The 3' x 8' sandtable diroama will be correct in terrain features, personnell placement, etc. It will include the target house, the lost convoy, and both crash sites. It will include 3 blackhawks, 6 HMMV's, 3 flatbed trucks, and two Little bird stinkin helicopters if i can stinkin find them!!!!!!!

Does anyone knpow the EXACT markings on the "Nightstalkers" birds? Did they have the number markings (6-4, 6-5 on them? Help!!
