Hey Avus,

Man, that thing is looking really good! The interior and crew are very life like, and I can't wait to see it finished & displayed! Thank you for the update!

Thanks Guys!
I'll probably finish the bird after X-Mas. Then I want to make a little diroma with four SF-operatives.
I'll keep you updated.

Looks good. Did you start with the Dragon kit (3427)? I couldn't find any of those (I need at least two) so I used the (Italeri??) OH-6 Loach kit and am converting. What's different in the pilot console from the oh-6?

Thanks again for your compliments!

cmdcntr,
I started with the MD-500 kit, it was the only one in the shop!
I'm afraid that Dragon took all of the Littlebirds from their catalog.Sad [:(]
I suppose you got Italeri's Loach but it will be a hard time since there are many big differences:
the Loach has the "Y" shaped tail fins while the MH-6 has the "T" shaped ones, the instrument panel is different (Loach looks like a mushroom) and above all the oh-6 has four blades onthe rotor while the mh-6 has five.

You could get Cobra Company's MELB kit it has many details including the instrument panel. But I suggest that you try to find a DML kit, it will save you a LOT of scratch buiding.

I know you were all waiting to see my master piece completed but I had no time to get to work on it so it is still there where I left it before Christmas.Ashamed [*^_^*]

I'd like to hear you opinion on two things:
Should I have the "Deltas" sitting on the bench or disembarked?
Do you think I sould place the MH-6 in a diorama with a Blackhawk (3rd October 1993) or alone in a contemporary (2003) scene?

Any suggestion is appreciated.

Avus,
Looking good bubba!!! If it were me, I'd have them sitting on the plank "eyes out-weapons hot" with the egg just coming into the flare. That's what I'm gonna do, and I'll have another one on the ground with D-boys unassed and infilling the target area. If your gonna include a -60 in the diorama, whew! That's gonna be a BIG diorama. You might instead think about another MH-6 or an AH-6 flying cover overhead, with a background photo of an MH-60L fastroping Rangers in Mog.
Just and Idea.
The one problem (nitpicking) is that your aircrew is wearing woodland flight suits and they wore the tan ones in Mog. Also don't forget to pick the new or old style satcom antenna depending on the date of your diorama.
Lookin good!

Avus,
The X-shaped antennas are the older SATCOM antennas. The current ones have a blade with a disk on top.

Looks like Dragon is putting the AH-6 back into production. I ran across it being listed in a search of google for Dragon new releases. So, now I need to get a pair for my own. One of the other forums online had a thread mentioning the AH-6 as a new release/reissue.
