This one is based on pics taken on the USS Tripoli in Sept 1987, HMH-466 attached to HMM-166. Big thank you goes out to David Eyre for posting the pics on Airliners.net and being helpful with my questions, Joseph Osborn of Fireball Modelworks for printing the decals and Timmy! for pointing out some things to backdate my build. Not to mention the usual suspects, thanks a bunch guys.

Some close ups.

Thanks for looking,

mason

Thumbs Up [tup] It looks just like the ones that used to fly by here out of MCAS Tustin. A big green beast!

Hi Mason ,

That's quite impressive , what you have accomplished with your CH-53E .

The weathering is the best I've ever seen Thumbs Up [tup]

In my honest opinion , this is one awesome Super Stallion .

Well done....

                               Kind regards John .

That is an awesome build.  Great detail, weathering, decals, and some really nice work on the nose!

Thanks for the pics, well done also!

Love me some shi**ers!  Good looking build, especially the detail in the avionics bay.  You're inspiring me to break out my kit I have gathering dust in the closet and get to work.
