AH-1W (NTS) Pics
Posted by phoneguy on Saturday, December 26, 2009 2:09 PM

Sorry guys, second time posting pics, or the third time since they changed format.  Hopefully you will see these.  Some of them are dark to see the led lights I placed into it.  Let me know what you think.  Have a good New Years!!!   Have to finish the 'Pad' for it, my son just got done making it for me.

I upset the wife when i got a Huey 'HOG', a UH-60L, and an F-15 to work on after my surgery.  Hope you like the pics and thanks for all the info!!!

Looks good.  I can tell you put some work into that MRC kit to make it more accurate.  Here's an easy fix:  Your TOW missiles are mounted backwards.  Just flip them around so they are pointing the other direction.  The missiles themselves are green (depending on type) but you should paint the TOW launchers and the hellfire launchers and missiles black.

I've got that same kit (and markings) waiting in the wings - perfectly happy if it came out like yours! Nice job. YesYes

It took a LONG time to finish!  I was out of town for work for about 4-5 months.  I worked on it finally again in Oct.  had been since Mar-Apr?  Oldtimers memory.  Thanks for the kuddo's.  I honestly wished i could get the rotors to turn with a motor, but no room in the tail section.  I looked at Every option for that.  The granddaughter loves it tho.

I did find out that if you are using any PE on the outside, you need to apply the decals first, then apply the PE.  Some of the decals will cover the PE and it was very hard to apply them.  I wound up pulling off the PE and placing the decals.  Then reapplying the PE.  Hindsight is 20-20. hehe!  Guess I have to plan everything out better on this next build.
