Gotta disagree Gino,

The Chevy Engine red is too red. I have an antenna mast from an HH65C and there is a difference in the two. I also live close to the USCG air Station in Traverse City, (the decals in the kit are for TVC), and have seen the helicopters up close many times.
It should also be noted the Trumpeter kit is, as Dennis said, is NOT a USCG model, but the Aerospatiale 365N, the USCG model is a 366G. The kit also supposedly represents an early "A" model not the current "C" model flown. Curiously, the upper engine/transmission cowling in the kit is much closer to the "C" model with the Turbo-mecca engines and not the "A" models Avco-Lycoming engined aircraft.

As CG Bob states, the CG Orange used on Orange & White aircraft is International Orange, FS12197, available from Model Master.  Model Master Chevy Engine Red is dead on for the red-orange (Tangarine) used on HH-65s.

Thanks for all your help. Being a ship modeler I had been using MM Marine colors. There were two CC colors there that were pretty close to my eye, but I miss that line since it was discontinued. No subtitutes are listed by MM or Testors.

The racing stripe red and red on the ice breakers is a different color than the orange used for the Dolphin.

Testors International Orange is close for the HH65A and B models, but an exact match, and the paint used on the HH65C is PPG Tangerine.

Any automotive paint shop can mix it if they have the PPG colors.

USCG Red (as used on the red stripe) is FS 595 shade 12199.  Model Master Chevy Engine Red is a close match; as I've checked color chips against various USCG boats, cutters and aircraft.

In the Feb FSM article on the Dolphin, the author did not specify the Coast Guard color. Does anyone know of a Testors, or other color? I have been unable to find a color of anything that really spells it out.
