I would like to see both UH-1Y and AH-1Z offered in 1/48. Can't really have one without the other, right?

It sure would be nice to see a UH-1Y in 1/48 or 1/35.   For that matter a AH-1Z since they share the tail boom , rotors and pylon assy.   Some model manufacture could  make 2 for 1 and half the parts!

Clear Left!

Nope. No word, rumors, inkling at all of one coming out in kit form.  I would love a kit of one as well.  I do have plans and such to scratch the conversion on a Dragon 1/35 N model, but we'll see.  I'm sure if I build it...it will come in plastic.

I'm sure sometime ago, someone in a far galaxy on these boards has asked the same question. Lucky for you helicopter people I'm asking it again Big Smile.

Has anyone released a kit of this yet or are there any conversion sets out there? I'm aware that some are updated N models which gives me a starting point. I have no desire to scratch build anything for it at this point. At this time it might just be hanging onto the most accurate N kit, (if one is made), and hoping for a conversion or an all out new kit at some point. (I heard something about Roscoe's Conversions possibly making something, but I cannot find anything to support that. Or that the company even exists.)

I love the new look of these with the big side cowlings and the four composite blades. (Still a huge fan of the Vietnam era Huey's also. Love reading books on them and the pilots that flew them. I have read "To the Limit" and plan on reading it again, wonderful look into it all and what they went through.)
