Im building the MIL 24 hind and whould like to show it as one during the soviet afghan war.  What color scheme should i use and where can I get the decals?  I don't think that the ones Revel provided will work.

You could do it like this

Less the tagging on the side. not sure about markings though

"I am a leaf on the wind, watch how i soar"

Recite the litanies, fire up the Gellar field, a poo storm is coming Hmm

Linden Hill Imports makes a couple decal sets for the MI-24 Hind in A'stan.  Their decal sets come with color schemes as well.

Hello!

In general the chopper should have the "southern" scheme - that means sand and tan on top and sides, light blue bottom of the hull and wings, as opposed to "northern" scheme with gray and green. A red star on the underside and both sides of the rear of the hull. And a number (two, three or four digits) on the tail boom. Special markings might include the "outstanding crew" symbol on the nose. Hope it helps, have a nice day
