Hasegawa Sea King

If you are talking about Hasegawa's SH-3H Sea King in 1/48th, I might be able to help out. I built it up as an HH-3 Jolly Green Giant, with USAF markings and still have the original decal sheet. Granted I have used a few of the decals, but not that many I believe there are enough to complete either the high vis version, HS-4 off the Carl Vinson, or the lo vis, HS-8 off the Independence. I would also include the instruction sheet, which shows the decal placement. I wish I hadn't used some of the decals, but I was building up a SH-60 Seahawk, conversion from a HH-60, and needed some of the SH-3 decals. All I would want is the cost for mailing them to you. Its a large decal sheet and will require a pretty large envelope.

The conversion was to be a contract job I took on a couple of years ago. I got it about 85% complete, after I had totally destroyed what I considered a perfectly good USN helicopter by turning it into USAF, and the female who contracted it for her husband backed out of the deal. I had to scratch build a nose wheel, external fuel tanks, etc., etc. Also I had constructed a 18" x 18" base with a Vietnam diorama complete with palm trees and USAF figures standing around it drinking beer. She did pay me the $350 I had asked for, but I was stuck with the model, base, and acrylic lid. Fortunately I was able to cancel the brass plaque I had on order. I really would have preferred to do it up in USN motif had I had my druthers. I did eventually finish the beast and It turned out half way decent; took a 3rd place in a local contest a year ago. However, there are too many bad memories associated with it to write an article about it.
Moral of the story: Be cautious when contracting with females!
