1-35 MH-47 E/G Conv Set??
Posted by cairnsy01 on Thursday, June 17, 2010 6:17 AM

I found a post from a few years (2008 ??) ago which showed a resin conversion set for the Nightstalkers Chook including a new pointy nose, Enlarged tanks, cockpit floor and a few little bits and Pieces. Was this ever released commercially and If so from who? and is it still available?

Cheers

I don't remember a conversion set, but there was a guy working on a conversion of the aircraft for himself.  There have been some rumors lately that one may be coming out from Cobra Company in limited numbers though.  Chris at Cobra Company just released a conversion set for a  1/35 ACH-47A "Guns-A-Go-Go" bird a couple days ago.  We'll see what else materialises.

The guy who was working on the conversion set for the MH-47 will be taking orders as soon as it is ready, and i must say it is a real piece of work.

Should'nt be too far away.

Thanks for that Rob,

Don't suppose you have any pics of the set in the works, or know of what is included?

Interesting.  I have never heard of Storm before.  The HH/MH-60G external gun mounts look nice too.  I'll have to keep an eye out for them.

Well that makes sense since I now remember he was the one doing the MH-47 conversion.  Can't wait for his items to come out.  Great looking stuff.

Thank you guys for the interest and for the complements! and sorry I have not been able to post any updates since last year. The new job, I got last summer kept me pritty busy. Now the major part of the training is in the past and I can get back to the modelling.

MH-47 parts are almost done, I just have to solve some issues with the molds to make casting process a little easier. As they are right now - the mold for the nose part lasts only - 5-6 copies which is not cost effective since it requires large amount of rubber to make.

But right now the goal is to release external weapon stations for Pave Hawk and a chaff/flare dispenser sets ASAP. I am working on these 2 sets right now.  After they are done - I am going back to Chinook.

Sounds great Andy.  I'll be waiting for the Pavehawk external gun mounts.
