Hello swede!

It's really not that shiny in real life so a Flat grey is fine....especially in scale....its always a good idea to tone down gloss finishes in smaller scales to keep models from looking toy like.

Take a look at my Hueys...those are flat tones for the Sound proofing.

Reproducing Huey interior insul. color???
Posted by swede on Sunday, January 11, 2004 11:29 AM
I am doing a Huey for a friend that flew them in VN and am stumped as how to reproduce the gray shiny color of the insulation padding on the cabin walls. Considered painting a similar gray and shooting with semi-gloss but when tried didn't look right on scrap. If anyone has any suggestions or has broken the riddle of this confounding question I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks, Swede
