painting helicopter instrument panels
Posted by choppernewbie on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 7:17 PM

I am new at building helicopters usually I build Sci-Fi so what is the best way to paint the instrument panels on the AH-1W. this is the MRC kit with the Verlinden resin cockpit set. Also where can I get some good cockpit shots to help with the detailing.

The AH-1W cockpit is all flat black for MVG compatability.  The individual instruments will have white dials and numbers though.  Best bet is to paint it overall black, then dybrush the dials to bring up the markings.  Here are a few shots of the cockpit.
