I built mine out of thin brass rod (0.020 I think) , along with some plastic strip, fuse wire, and A&B putty flotation drums on the ends.  I used bridal veil tule for the fine mesh bottom.

You can see my complete 1/35 MH-60J Jayhawk conversion here.

i am trying to build a rescue basket for a 1/35 scale coast guard. Jayhawk. Any ideas?
