Hello Guys and Girls

Been awhile since I have posted here, so here we go with my latest project.

I have started building these two kits two weekends ago as a bit of an experiment for myself. As I have only just started using PE and AM goodies I wanted to see for myself just how different the models will look once done.

Please feel free to jump in and comment where I have gone wrong and what I can do to improve the use of PE in my models.  Also please not my previous PE xp was pre-painted weekend.

In preparation for the onslaught of PE I armed myself with thick and thin CA glue.

Here are the 2 kits I will be using:

DAY 1:

I started on the seats and seat belts. these were tidied up after the photo

Then I moved onto the rear wall behind the pilot's seat. I ground off the pre moulded details and add the the PE.

The bit I was most fearful off the Pilot IP and IP console.

Here is a pic of the PE and the OOB IP

I added some "wiring" to the IP and gave it a shot of paint.

DAY 2:

I painted the IP cover stuck on the dial's and the cover and a bit of dry brushing as well. As you can see my skills are not that good. But with practice I hope to produce some beauties in the future.

Whilst I was waiting to things to dry I moved over to the OOB bird here is a pic with the pit in the dry fit stage after some initial paint.

Thanks for looking and advice tips errors etc please feel free to comment.

Also I am looking for pics of the interior side walls and the canopy. There are some PE bits for these areas but they seem a bit sparse and with a large clear canopy to look through I would like to try and scratch builds some things to busy up the area.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Thanks for looking, comments welcome

Thanks Fermis, I have actually been looking at your thread and using it for ref's.

I know I said the T would be OOB but when the pit is next to the W, I cant help but scratch some detail.

I will be posting a few update pics in a couple of days.

Been slow going with all the PE and moving house again! third time in 18 months!

anyway here are a few pics

Whiskeys pit glued in place. Had to scratch the pipe thingy that attaches to the seat

Some goodies put on the canopy interior. This was really time consuming as I first masked off the interior, sprayed the interior colour let that dry then "Futured" let that cure then remove masking and then only glue PE pieces in place.

Started on the stub wings by filling the holes and cutting the and build the rocket pod pylons

Then added wiring and stand for the flare dispenser

Got the canopy in without any trouble and only a minor tiny gap on this side of the photo and started and some more of the PE

Thanks for looking
