I share the fascination, when I was 10 or 12 the "Hinds" used to roar over our apartment building in Eastern Europe and I could see them clearly.  They are quite a sight.

Looks like a nice kit and a great in box review. Pity its not a tad cheaper my 8 y/o has a penchant for Hinds, might make a great father/son build though......

I ahve been thinking about getting one of these, eithe rthis kit or the Revell one, so will be keen to seen how this come together. I got really close up to one of these in Afghan last year, it was awsome. Seeing a forklift going in and out of a helicopter. And looking into the back was like looking into a Herc. A couple of our guys flew on one and said it was a very smooth flight. I got loads of close up photos as well just in case i di build a kit.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

The kit looks really good , particulary the pilot figures and I like how you can pose the arms of the pilots .

All the parts are certainly crisp , I couldn't see any flash or excess plastic at all .

I have a few 1/72 Russian helicopters in my stash , some of them are Zvezda kits and I'm yet to build one !

I have Heller's 1/72 Hind A and Italeri's 1/72 Hind D/E but the detail is no where near as good as your Zvezda kit ;

I might keep an eye out for that one .

Nice in-box pic's too ; Thank's for the look .

Here are some pics of the latest "Crocodile" as it was nicknamed in Russia.  Priced at around $30 is a little steep but well worth it.  The only complaint I have is that the instument panel is with decals.  But there are plenty of aftermarket for this type.  Anyway, here are the pics:
