Sikorsky. . .?
Is that the little thing that wanted to be a Coast Guard Helo, but pulled out of the competition becuase of the FIA? (like the Bell 222?)
I would guess no one has a model of it becuase it isn't considered "cool."
I did not say it wasn't cool, I said it isn't considered cool.

Don
I know it's only rock and roll, but I like it.

They haven't done an S-76 because there were no guns or Shark teeth versions! It's just a plain Jane workhorse of the Gulf of Mexico. I fly on one every week back and forth to work in the Gulf of Mexico. The S-76 is a "little brother" to the UH-60 Black Hawk. If "Airwolf" would have been an S-76 we would have a kit of it! Civilian choppers are not "marketable" it seems!

Dave,

Actually it's one of Chevron's own aircraft. ChevronTexaco now! We also use Air Logistic's sometimes. PHI I'm still pissed at for making me miss the IPMS Nationals in Dallas a couple summers ago. It had an engine failure on the way out to get me the last flight of the day and I didn't make it home to go with the guys! At least the other engine brought it back for a safe "rolling" landing! Several of my Pilot buddies fly the S-76 for PHI.

If I recall, the S76 rec'd the bifilar system designed for the main rotor of the S-70 (Black Hawk) series a/c. Sikorsky wanted to put some of this new technoligy into the civil market and the S-76 was the first.

I gotta say it... Davey, you're cool, but PLEASE hit that caps-lock button! Internet protocol says that "all caps" is shouting. BTW, the S-76 is cool, too. It would make a decent kit.

Half blind and working on a 32nd Helo? I guess that's why they call 32nd "Braille Scale"! Tongue [:P] (Joke!)
