UH-1N color scheme

Looking for a color scheme (inside and out) for the Marine Corps UH-1N - can be photos or text...not too happy with Dragon's scheme.

Dragon's scheme is the old Mediterranean (or MED) scheme.  The current scheme is a two-tone grey scheme with dark grey on the upper horizontal surfaces and the rest a lighter grey.  The two grey colors are FS35237 for the dark grey and FS36375 for the lighter grey.  The interior is either medium grey or flat black in the rear cabin and all flat black (including instrument panels, Dragon's are wrong) for the cockpit.

Here are some pics.

The rest of this great walk around is at Prime Portal.

A great decal sheet for the grey on grey USMC UH-1Ns is by MAW-Decals.  The set is called November Hueys.

Also, the weapons setup in the Dragon kit isnot used by the USMC.  Usually, an N gunship has one minigun (on a different pintle mount) and one .50 cal on the other side, along with 7-shot rocket pods (not the 19 shot pods in the kit).  Cobra Company has a UH-1N Weapons Set with the correct weapons layout.

The interior of the Dragon kit is pretty weak too.  To fix this and bring it to pretty current (early 2000's) standards, Cobra Company also has a UH-1N Fleet Upgrade set

I highly recommend these sets to really bring your N to life and fix most of the issues with the Panda come Dragon kit.

For a couple other N model extras, Werner's Wings also has the internal AUX fuel tanks (1/2, 3/4, and full) that are often carried.

Lastly, AMS Resin has a set of FOD covers for the engine inlets and exhausts for a bird that is sitting and out of action for a while.

Probably more info than you wanted, but that should get you started.

Good luck.
