Academy 1:48 MH-6: looking for tips/references

Hi all, I just ordered this kit because it was on sale on Squadron and I was picking a few other things. I built one several years ago, but I can't remember anything about the kit itself, and it was thrown away quite awhile ago, so I can't exactly go back and check. So I just thought I'd post on here where somebody might know what I've gotten myself into- I'm planning on adding quite a bit of scratchbuilt detail to the base kit, but it'd be nice to be aware of any inaccuracies and other quirks with the kit, as I can't find anything on that subject online. Also, it seems that there is a shortage of pictures of the cockpit interior available online- can anyone point me in the right direction in that respect?
I'm also planning on possibly modifying the kit to represent an actual MH-6 (with the troop "benches" mounted outside), and possibly cutting away the crew doors like I've seen in a few photos- does anyone know how common the door removal was, and does anyone know of the dimensions/specs of the "benches?"
Thanks,
-Josh

Current Builds: If I were to list everything I have in progress, it'd take way too long! Some notable inclusions:
Hasegawa 1:48 KI-84
Tamiya 1:48 P-51D (in Iwo Jima long-range escort markings)
4 (yes, four) Tamiya 1:48 F4U-1s (1x -1D, 1x -1A, and 2x -1s)
