Yup, that's what my research suggests, and there are matches in the Humbrol range for FS 25237 (HU.145) and in the Tamiya range for FS 26424 (XF20)/

However, there seem to be two distinct shades of darker grey used. One of the kit's  finish options, Red 23 of the Russian Navy, has a darker grey than the second, Red 71. Bergemot decal sheet 7203, which covers a wide range of Helixes, identifies this colour as FS36231, Dark Gull Grey, for which there are numerous matches.

Thanks for your help,

Cheers,

Chris.

I've just received a copy of the new Hobby Boss 1/72 Ka.29 Helix B for review. Borh finish options are in Russian Navy 2-tone grey camo, but gives matches in Mr.Hobby colours only, 72 and 24.

Mr.Hobby not so easyto find in small-town English LHSs....Any thoughts about the colours the Sovs, sorry Russians, use, and equivalents, ideally in Humbrol, Revell, or Tamiya?

TIA,

Cheers,

Chris.
