Can't be of much help on the right colors but, check out the Squadron In Action on the Seaking. There are a lot of pics of the Seakings in Desert Storm and just after return. It will help you a lot with the weathering.

As part of my great CVW-1 project, I want to build an SH-3 from HS-11, right around the time of its return from Desert Storm. I'll be using the Hasegawa 1/48 kit, & would like to know how accurate is the painting guide included in the instructions.

The guide call for 35237 Med grey on the spine, 36320 Dk Ghost on the sides & the bottom & rotor blades are 36495 Lt Grey . As I want thismodel to have a used look, what color did the paint fade to overall? I saw one of these aircraft during Fleet Week in NYC back in '91, but that was sooo long ago. Any help would be appreciated.
