Once I've gotten the block cut out and the siloette sanded I have to apply the window detail and paint graphic. I mask each colour for crisp lines. If you don't do this you'll never get the cemetry we all like to see from the nose point of view. I think we all like finishing our models. but I do get decalsSuper Angry There is a walkaround of this aircraft at kaman Kmax walkaround. UntitledUntitled

The rotors do get thinner as the models progress My rotor head is built to take abuse from those who like to touch other peoples things.CryingSuper Angry You know the typeWink. Many of my models are firsts to show clients the product CNC machines interprit it's own off my blank . There is plenty of marerial to skim off the rotors for sure.... Part of model making is to carve it in such a way as to bring out the the look which you were able to recognize in both models. For a carver to do that is proof that attention to detail in photos is possible. Even in the static dust collector models I make....Big Smile I'm not as impressed with an aircraft unless I can see one up close. The Gazelle I seen in a bone yard in Deer park Wa and the 76 is one I just wanted to have. Thanks for making comments I don't usually show my work....Artworks

Well here I am again, grumpy as always - but I don't mean no harm!

Let's play it, the first, orange one looks like an Aerospatiale Gazelle III, the second one would be the Sikorsky S-76. I don't mean to deny you all the love and hard work you put in your models, but don't you wish your rotor blades and trailing edges were thinner? Of course those are your models, you can do them the way you like and I respect the amount of work you invested, and your dedication.

Have a nice day

Artworks,

I think what you're doing is just awesome. Instead of waiting for a company to issue a kit of something you want, you "took the bull by the horns" (an old saying I haven't heard in a while), and made yourself happy, using the skills that you have.

The tone of your posts tell me that your excited about this build, not hyperactive, and that is good to see (or read, in this case). More people should have that kind of enthusiasm for their hobbies. Keep it up!!

Don't concern yourself with the font, either. Bold is just fine.

Good Luck!

artworks2, man, turn off that bold font - it ain't doing nuthin' good for ya... Somehow this thread upsets me - you seem a little hyperactive. That must be that writing style. I don't think it's such a good idea to build a model of a machine you don't really know. Maybe you could find something you've actually seen and build a model of that? I'd like that better. I'd also like to see more detail on a model - just my personal taste. Now welcome to the forums and thanks for sharing, have a nice day

"OOps" Sorry guys once I get this on it's landing gear I'll post photos. Anyone have any questions or ridicule? Has anyone found a kit for this helicopter? Doe you want to see another helicopter "Say" a Boeing 234 in Columbia colours?  I'm thinking of a tilt rotor 609 civilian version of the Osprey. Even more rare or maybe a Carter Copter which isn't really a helicopterSurprise

Transpose drawings to yellow pine or what ever wood you wish. Balsa is to spendy and requires skill not to turn it into a ball of hair.Untitled

Hi All,

I've looked high and low for a kit of the Kman 1200 K-max grand son of the Husky. Haven't seen one even in real life. So what do I have to do? Build my ownSuper Angry !!! Over the next few weeks you can come see my fight to have such a model. Not gonna deal with rivit counting just proof of concept that is model making. Maybe I can come up with a kit that someone might buy? Forever we in the model hobby are silently challenged by our peers if not ourselves in the spirit to make the other guy either one up me or inspire the other guy. A good modeler doesn't need to brag and with the advent of digital photos proof is more important than our words. "Sure" there is probably a sword model out there of this K-max model in the UK but It's probably 1/100 and more than I make a model forConfused Remember I us to build from the box but it's not easy to settle on the offering that we had in 1977/80. My first installment will be sooner than you think...... Artworks
