WIP: Revell 1/48 UH-1 Huey Hog

After reading the thread dogging this kit, I decided to dig it out of the stash and make it a quick, fun build. I completed the cockpit tonight, and got it mounted in the side fuse. So far, there has been a lot of flash cleanup, but i'm not going for accuracy outer perfection in this one to be honest. i'll pay more pics as the build progress. As always, comments, critiques, and suggestions are welcome.

I have always liked this kit since I built my first one ages ago. And while the basic kit may have some accuracy issues, it does look like a Huey Gunship when built!Yes Not being a rivet counter, that is good enough for me. I am looking forward to more of your work here.

Quick update, finished putting the fuselage together. The bottom is going to take a lot of sanding and putty work to get it acceptable, but the top side came out good.I'll try to post some more tomorrow.

I just finished building this kit (I did a thread - Revell Huey Hog), and it had to have been the worst model to put together. It came out great, but to get to that point there was a lot of (grrrr...) work. I will follow your progress.

Too much

I finished installing the nose, roof, and most of the glass. Slapped some putty on the gaps anda seams that still needs sanding. rear stabilizers are also attached.

Yes, the window glass received a double coat of Future before being glued in place. I've just about finished filling and sanding seams. I will post pictures later today.

I primed and painted the fuselage, had a slight mishap with some making tape so I have to touch up the rotor and shaft again. About ready for a sealing coat of future and then decals.
