I dont know if it's currently available, but Monogram made a VERY sweet little  AH-1G Cobra in 1/72. Matchbox did one too. Not quite as nice, but it's out there. Unfortunately in 1/48 there are only just horrid ancient kits based of the prototypes, or conversions for the hard to find Fujimi Sea Cobra kits. There really does need to be somebody step up and do a proper 1/48 kit of the first design built armed attack helicopter, the AH-1G... Revell PLEASE!!!!

Yup... Plenty of decent TOW Cobras to be found.... but none of the original Snake in 48. I built a bunch of those Monogram Cobras when I used to build 1/72... they were dirt cheap, something like $2 a pop back then. It may possibly be availble under a Revell Germany label too since molds pass back and forth between them.
