I'm looking for a 1/48 Merlin helo scale model. I flew a LOT in them in AFG, tremendous helo IMO. I would like to build one. I've seen the 1/72 from Italiri and Revell, but was interested in a larger model.
Airfix are in the process of launching a 1/48th Merlin, which is apparently pretty well detailed (335 parts) - there isn't a release date at the moment, but I don't imagine it's that far away. You could drop Airfix an Email to get an estimate on availability.....

Thanks for the info. I searched but never even got a whiff of that bird. Looks great. I plan on making one the way I remember it (I took a bunch of photos while I was over there), and maybe one with a camo pattern. Much appreciated!
