Is that the Revell kit? I did the non-Long Bow version of that, and yes, it's a miserable kit. There's a LOT of missing detail, but your efforts to 'up-detail' are usually thwarted by the poor fit and all the flash you have to clean up. I am pretty pleased (more like relieved) with the way mine turned out, and would have just quit if it weren't for the fact that my wife picked the kit up in a hobby shop and said 'This is cool, I like this." so I felt I had to finish it for her.
You did a very good job there. Don't sell your skills short, until you work on a better kit!
