UH-1C M21 system - how do the M134's articulate?

Hello

Did some work yesterday on my Academy 1/35 UH-1C, mostly building some of the interior and replacing the stock rather poor M134's with some slightly better resin ones by Legend, and today I came across a photo that I've never seen before of the M134's side on (on a RAAF UH-1H),

And that got me thinking...

...how do the M134's articulate?

I ask because I am thinking of using small magnets to put them on (for one thing I can't work out how the M134's attach to the pylons - all I can see is they glue straight onto the side of the square-ish parts on the top of the "cradle" thingy part that attaches to the M134?) - but would using magnets look odd (because it'll mean I can position the guns up/down/left/right) if the M134's can't actually rotate up and down or left/right?

Might also be a bit out of scale but I'll check that when I come to it.

That pic also showed me how the "cradle" thingy part attaches to the gun, I've attached my M134's to that part incorrectly, that part is too far back, but that's another story...

The M21 mounting system was semi-fixed, only moving up and down, not left to right.  The M134 miniguns were boresighted along the longitudinal axis of the fuselage so the stream of rounds would meet at a point at a set distance in front of the helo.

Ah OK.  I'll see if I can attach them to the "cone" part of the pylons only via a magnet and re-attach the "cradle" part on top of the gun (assuming I can remove them cleanly to reposition them) normally.  That way they'll only move up and down.

I basically don't like the way they're supposed to join if you just glue them on, the end of the "cone" on the pylon has a slot in it as though a tab is supposed to be pushed into it but there's no tab on the piece that attaches to the end of the "cone" part of the pylon.

It generally looks like a weak point (thus will easily break and I'll be forever re-gluing them knowing my clumsiness) so I think securing the M134's with a magnet will give a better join.
