This is a big story here in my part of Virginia. One crewman was released from the hospital yesterday and the other will be released today or tomorrow.

I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

HM 14 was my first squadron in 2000 as an aviator. Truly a sad day

A bad couple weeks for military aviation. I'm a helo crewman myself, and know the risks taken, and the preventative measures taken to minimize risks. I've lost friends over the years and hearing about the most recent events at NS Norfolk only brings back memories. It's good for HM-14 that there are survivors. It will greatly assist the mishap board more than any VFDR will. Godspeed to our airmen and sailors lost.
