Query about paint colour (sorry, yes it's another one)

Hello all

Quick question time (again), I know it's been discussed before, I've even come across the answer myself, but I'm currently drawing a blank on my searches, so apologies for asking, but...

...what's the FS code for the US Army UH-60's Olive Drab?

I'm itching to build my 1/72 Italeri UH-60 (among the half dozen other builds I've got going at the moment) that I mistakenly bought (I wanted it in 1/48, but bought the 1/72 version in error), and will have robbed the M60s for my 1/72 Revell Jolly Green (when I get around to it) but I don't want to waste it and I think it should be a simple and quick build (assemble as in box, spray OD, add decals), but I'm not sure I've got the right paint for the OD.

Italeri say it's FS 34088 and I've got that in my (very tiny) Vallejo Model Air stash as US Dark Green (Vallejo Model Air no. 16) but if that's the one I've used on my 1/72 Jolly Green as the dark green of the SEA camo I'm not sure it looks right...

Thanks in advance.

Since the early 1980s, the US Army has used a color called... Helicopter Drab (or Helo Drab) on most of it's helicopter, FS 34031. With the exception of the MH-60s and some one off schemes, that is the color that US Army Blackhawks are found in around teh world. Not Oive Drab 34087/34088. that was used on older USA choppers before, during and after the Vietnam era.

Testors and Xtracolor make the shade in their paint lines.

That's the one.  Thanks Stikpusher, I'll look for that.  I didn't think 34088 was the right one.
