1/32 (or 1/35) Ancient Serpent 6 decals?
Posted by stikpusher on Friday, April 4, 2014 3:42 AM

Does anybody know if there are decals available for Bruce Crandals Huey in either 1/32 or 1/35 scale? Or is it a case of make up your own?

Fireball Modelworks has the basics for it on their UH-1 Slicks in Vietnam decal sheet, depending on when you want to depict it.

The above sheet contains 1 CAV and blue triangle decals, and numbers to create the tail number and other common markings.  Some early pics show it with just the triangle and no serpent.

Yes I just stumbled across that sheet a short bit ago. It looks almost perfect for my needs. I see that it includes the unit crest as well. Do you have any experience with those decals?

Yes, Fireball decals are great.  I have used them many time, including that set.  I highly recommend them.

Josephs decals are very good.  I bought the ones HeavyArty referred to in 1/48 scale for the 1/48 ESCI UH-1D I built.  Although I botched up the noseart decal, due to my mad idea of how to construct the fuselage halves...

I'd definitely buy them again though.

Well, with all these positive recommendations, I cant go wrong. At least as long as I do not get any mad ideas on how to do the nose art ;-) Thank you gentlemen!
