Bell 47D Update from Guam USA
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, March 6, 2004 6:59 PM
Hello Everybody! been awhile since I have been able to get back to my real passion, model building, as a biz-writer, I've had to concentrate on that which pays the bills. I was able to go to the many sites that many of you provided me on the Bell 47. I have been able to incorporate some of those into this my third time building this from the Academy kit.
Wondering if anyone out there knows of any aftermarket photo-etched products for this particular model. Have enjoyed reading my FSM on PE and am begininng to feel I could do something life this? Any suggestions?

Good to be back, have been to Cairns Australia and BALI Indonesia on assignment as well as the bi-weekly journal and quarterly magazine I write for!

Any other good helo projects some of you might suggest would also be appreciated. Cool [8D]....Thanks to all, Look forward to seeing you all in the pages.

Eric,

I would suggest the 1/35 MRC UH-1C "Frog" with the Sharks markings. This kit gives you the 40 mm system with two different rocket pod setups and the mini-gun system with the "exposed" 7 shot rocket pods. It enables you to make three or four weapons systems variants. The other kits just provide one system. For some pictures of the 174th AHC Sharks you can go to www.americal.org/174/ Shortly it will change over to www.174AHC.org/ Happy modeling!
