Anti skid on roof painted. The OH-13 looks more like a contraption than an aircraft. Gary

Looks great, I had this kit (or a boxing of it, kindly given to me by rotorwash) and made a bit of a mess of it...

Hi Ray, You probably wouldn't recognize me now since last seeing you. I've lost 30 lbs. One of my neighbors thought my wife was "stepping out " on me when she saw us at the mall. Gary

I think I got those 30 lbs you lost, Gary!  The kit is coming along great.

Once the chin bubbles were added they needed to be sanded down and polished to be flush with the fuselage. A small strip of plastic simulates the cowling hinge. Gary

Oh, I rememebr you and your 53 very well, Gary.  you gave me a tail rotor drive chain from a Cobra.  Still one of my prized posessions.  I'll see what I can find on the mast height.

Hi Ray, I finally got a chance to see your photos. They are blocked at work. What I want to know is the overall height of the mast. The one on the model seems a little high. Thanks Gary PS I built the CH-53E you saw at Werner Robins a few yrs ago.

Gary,

Unfortuantely, the UH-1C mast is for the 540 rotor system and the UH-1D/H has the 205 rotor system, so there are quite a few differences.  I think these pics of UH-1D/H masts and rotorheads I have taken over the years should be pretty adequate for what you need though.  Let me know if there is another view you need.  Keep in mind the black masts and heads are only accurate for mid-80s birds onward and the Vietnam ones had bare metal and gray rotorheads and masts.  I hope these help.

I didn't like the gap in the floor, so I filled it in. Painted ammo cans and tool box. This morning I glued the fuselage together.

This is a question for Ray. Is there a differance of main rotor mast hight between the C model and the H model? I have a really good drawing of the C model in Pete Harlem'c book about building Monograms C model. Sunny Beaches Gary

Made and installed seat belts, installed seats, collectives and cyclic sticks. Made from soda can, ammo can and a tool box to go under the crew chiefs seat. Also 3 smoke grenades. Gary
