I don't know what exact shade of green it should be but it looks great to me. It has a nice crisp and even finish. Cool little base too. Nicely done

HeavyArty

It looks really nice overall.  The color is too light though.  The color out of the bottle is correct and should not be lightened at all.  CARC Helo Drab Green is a very dark color.

This version is not a training version.  There were only 2 prototypes of the helicopter built. They never went past the test phase and were not bought by the US (or any other) military.  The program was subsequently cancelled in '04.  The two prototypes were put in musuems and haven't flown since.

Hi again, maybe you've right but being 100% accurate with helo colour in such cheap model wasn't my purpose, especialy that my main goal was to do good postshading.

And when i wrote "training" i was thinking not about real helicopter, but about my modelling skills  Smile

Sorry for misunderstanding

Hmm, base colour was for me too dark so i decided to light it up little a bit. Another issue is that those photos gave to model much more light than it has in reality. And this set is only training one

Thanks for comment mateSmile

Hello!

Lookin' good - but shouldn't the colour for it be darker?

Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

Hi,

This is my 3rd model after return to hobby. IMHO the best one from all of them (i think it was time to do it right:rolleyes:)
Biggest minor is that i had unforunately once again put some paint on canopy despite using maskol and Tamiya masking tape
My masking was very carefull and paint marks are in the middle of glass so maybe my maskol get into reaction with paint? I don't know, maybe someone will be so keen to write little tutorial how to good mask such clear parts in attack helos?
Another mistake is vivible connecting line of 2 hull halves which i wasn't able to delete using various sand papers.
During building i also cover my preshading to much and i was forced to do postshading (base color with couple drops with of Humbrol sand).

Anothe chemicals which i used were:

Model Master Enamel Helo Drab-base colour

Mr. Surfacer 1200-primer

Some Humbrol enamels for cockpit and missiles

Humbrol gloss and matt varnish

Gunze decals fluids

BTW I paintned Hellfires missiles in Olive Drab because dacals for them were black...

Any comments ale welcome
