You need to host the photos somewhere else.  Imgur is pretty good; so is Photobucket, but you now have to pay for it to allow linking pics to websites.

No joy on the pics.  If I click on them, they say I have to sign into my non-existent Google Acct to view them.

The kit is pretty nice, but does have a few minor issues.  Here is a build of it that adresses them well:  http://www.arcair.com/Gal15/14601-14700/gal14653-MH-6-Werner/00.shtm

This review post talks about it and gives some good tips: http://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=SquawkBox&file=index&req=viewtopic&topic_id=264570&page=1

Here is basic info about the AH/MH-6 that may be helpful: http://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=SquawkBox&file=index&req=viewtopic&topic_id=264568&page=1

As to the color, yes, they are only in black.  There were a few tested for a brief second in gray, but it wasn't a color accepted for use.

I have no idea if this will post the picture or not. Tried to follow forum advice...

Hopefully thats done the trick.  Started on the engine, used Alclad Pale Burnt Metal for the exhaust, Mr Metal Color Chrome Silver for the rest.  The Alclad sprays beautifully, the Mr Metal not so well.  I didnt thin it with levelling thinners because it seemed thin enough to spray without thinning.  Would come out of the airbrush a little, then would have to give the airbrush a bit of a full blast to get the paint coming through again.

I intend to add a little scratch detailing (hoses/wire etc) before fitting to the engine housing.

I’ve recently given golf away and decided to try my hand at models. I enjoyed making models as a kid so hopefully will still enjoy it 30 years later.

This is will be my first effort at a helicopter.

First impressions of this kit are that the detail is good, the instructions are not so good (no paint callouts?). Also a lot of flash to clean up.

I know I will be committing the ultimate sin with painting but I think I’ll try for something other than all black - maybe a desert type paint scheme. Also would like to add a little scratch building (mainly engine) and perhaps some wear and tear to the paint job.   Pics to come. Any advice/critique welcome.
