HH/SH-60 roter folding
Posted by BlueBear on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 3:35 PM

Wolfpack Design has a kit for folding the tail on a HH/SH-60.  Does anyone make roter crutches for the main roter blades?  I have 2 Italaeri 1/48 HH-60H's that I'm going to do for the 2 that were aboard the Constellation on the 94-95 WESTPAC with HS-2, 1 with blades and tail folded.  I have the Eduard Big Ed set, but I'm not sure how common the basic interior structure is between the HH-60H and the SH-60F before the ASW gear is installed. Any help from a roter head to a plastic bug tron would be appreciated.  Thanks.

I haven't seen any kits of the blade supports.  I made my own out of plastic and metal rods and sheet styrene on my 1/35 MH-60S.  You can read more about it here: http://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=features&file=view&artid=6848

I don't know how you plan to fold the blades, but there is a set of folding blade hinges available on Shapeways that I also used.  They come in 1/35, 1/48, and 1/72. https://www.shapeways.com/shops/downrangeproductions1-35th-scale?section=Helicopter+Parts&s=0

Good luck.
