Figure painted on UH-1C
Posted by BenHet on Monday, October 29, 2018 4:00 PM

In 'Airmobile' by Jim Mesko, on page 29, is a picture of a UH-1C at LZ Two Bits.

UH-1B Two Bits.

On the lower rear of the left hand cargo door, just behind the minigun, is a figure that looks like a knight on a rearing white horse holding a 1st Cav Patch as a shield.

Does anyone have a better, clearer, bigger version of this, and/or know the tail number of the Huey?

I have wanted to do this one for soooooooo long.

Thanks.

Fixed your picture link.  Also, that is a UH-1C, not a B.  Can't help otherwise.  Looks like a cool bird.  Good luck with the knight insignia.

Thanks for fixing that, Gino. First try at picture posting.

It is  a 'C', the picture is even captioned 'UH-1C'.  'Doh' moment.

I've been looking through photo albums for this helicopter, kind of hard to find but I got totally sidetracked thinking about the subject in general.

Here's a picture that made me chuckle...

Take a look at what the benches are made from.

I pulled the photo from the VHPA website. The caption is "Camp Eagle 1970".
