For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” - John 3:16-17
Nice try, but both places are "out of stock"/ "available to order".
I think Skunk Models has gone out of business as none of their products appear to be available anywhere.

Isn't Skunk Models part of Kinetic?

Apparently, if it’s available to order on Squadron, it means you can special order it according to the writing in the blue strip... it just might take longer to deliver.
Am I right, or would this not work?
Closed in on the blue strip for reading purposes:
I tried to order as well after reading that due to looking for the same kit. (As you can see from the I'll advised post I just did) and it wont even let you add it to the cart

Unfortunately, no. That is just their wording for, "Out of stock, We will try to order it....from somewhere."
The kit is apparently no longer being produced and can't be found anywhere.
Yeah, turns out Squadron doesn’t sell Skunk Models anymore.
I went with 1/72 Hobby Boss. I want to do this - saw a couple flying over off of North Island here in San Diego. Celebrating 100 years of coast gaurd aviation.
Lots of yellow there!
I spent a career at Sikorsky Aircraft, the manufacturer of the HH-60J Jayhawks. Supported that line from ac#1 through its last delivery. I remember that aircraft very well and it’s great looking colors (White and red, as originally delivered to USCG). Great times, beautiful aircraft. Hope to see that build someday.
Must have been cool working around all those choppers. I'm just waiting on the paint before getting started - probably over the long weekend. Would you know what the color is? I ordered two different insignia yellows.
They were originally delivered to USGG with black radome to windshield line, red cockpit, white again from cabin to fuselage red strip with USGC insignia and red tail empennage with some yellow markings. They were never delivered in Navy Yellow, that is just a commemoration deal. As far as I know, no yellow military aircraft came off the Sikorsky line when I worked there, probably not since the Canadian Sea Kings 55 years ago. There were probably some commercial aircraft, S-92 and S-76, with some yellow made during my tenure.
For your aircraft pictured above best match is a RAF Yellow or even FS 33538 yellow equivalent (Vallejo Model Air 71078 is a good match).
Cool. The MM insignia yellow is FS 33538. Thanks!

I found one for sale.
Thanks. May still go that route if I can get the right price
I was going to buy one of these but they are all over priced and odd scales, except the 1.72. I really need to build one.BK
On the bench:
A lot !! And I mean A LOT!!
2024 Kits on deck / in process / completed

I just recently came across a Coast Guard HH53 in that bright yellow color scheme. Is this the NEW Coast Guard scheme or something specific to a unit, or location, or operation? Anyone?
For the jayhawk specifically it was to commemorate 100th anniversary of the coast gaurd. Perhaps the same for ch HH53
Are you sure it was an HH-53? USCG didn't use HH-53s. They did use HH-3s and HH-52s, which both look similar to an HH-53, but are smaller.
As to the yellow color, it was a standard color for USCG Helos in the 1950s.
As keavdog said, these are what the 100th Anniversarry of Naval Aviation Commemerative yellow MH-60J Jay Hawk is based on.
Sorry about tne mistaken identification but I am only familiar with the UH 1 D and H, and that was not by choice, said with tongue in cheek and a bit cheeky. I'm more comfortable in an aircraft with real wings!!! The bright yellow paint job looks great on the USCG birds and reminds me of the Canadian SAR helos. IMHO the USCG does not get enough credit for what they do.
