AH-1J....1/48th???
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, March 26, 2003 6:10 PM
Hey yo, all you rotorheads out there!

OK, just for the sake of arguement, I am a new user and HOPEFULLY this question hasn't come up before (if it has, apologies ahead of time...), but does anyone know if there exists, or HAS existed, a 1/48th scale AH-1J?? I want to say that Italeri had one out a few blue moons ago along with a Tango and Whiskey, but for the life of me, I cannot recall. Any info would be much appreciated!!

Thanx in advance!!

I think Fujimi had one in 48th, but I'm not sure. I only build 32/35 scale choppers.

Hey Rob,
Fujimi has (or had ...don't know if it's currently available) a 1/48th scale J model. It's their product number 31009 and is a pretty good kit overall. I just finished mine about a year ago and had no significant problems with construction. It has decals for two Marine ships ... HMA 369 and HMA 163. It also comes with two crew figures ... of fair to poor quality. Maybe the product number can help you find it in web searches. Good luck
