It took a little longer than anticipated, but the MH-60R and HH-60H are ready and shipping now from China. Hopefully they will be in US stores soon.

They are the same as the Academy Black Hawks.  The full size is about 18" from the forward blade tip to the tail.  Folded, the Naval versions are about 14" from nose to folded tail.

Those must be big kits; how large are they compared to like an Abrams or Dragon Wagon kit?

I'm not sure yet on the blades. I already did an MH-60S (Academy kit) with folded tail and blades. More of it here: https://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=features&file=view&artid=6848

I will not be building it as an SH-60B/F though.  With all the extra parts and the clear sliding windows included, I will be building it as an HH-60H.

I was planning on this anyways, by combining parts from the Kitty Hawk MH-60L for the HIRRS exhausts and scratching the sliding windows.  Now I don't have to do any of that.  I will still have the open exhausts for an early UH-60A as well.  Oh all the possibilities...

Do you plan to fold, or extend, the blades?

Just got in my SH-60F.  It is a great looking kit.  It also has a bunch of unused parts.  Some of these are the HIRSS exhaust (MH-60R and HH-60H) and clear parts for the sliding port side windows (HH-60Hs and USCG HH/MH-60J/Ts).  You can pretty much build any Naval H-60 from the kit (minus MH-60S), with just a little bit of scratch work around the port side windows.  This looks like a real winner.

There is an issue with the instructions in the first batch though.  There are some pages printed w/o diagrams and others where two pages are printed over each other.

Here are the correct instructions pages.

Lastly,  a Kitty Hawk rep said that the MH-60S will be available on 1 OCT.

New Kitty Hawk 1/35 Naval H-60s

As some might have seen, Kitty Hawk just released their two newest 1/35 H-60 versions.  They are both naval helos being an SH-60B and SH-60F with decals based on the actual artwork of Shayne Meder, aircraft painter.

As I understand it, both versions are no longer used by the USN.  The two current USN H-60 type helos are the MH-60R and the MH-60S.

As a side note, the parts for the SH-60B and SH-60F are identicle, with just different decals for the two.  This makes sense since the F is an updated B, with most parts the same minus the large radome under the nose.  Also looking at the parts, it appears that all the parts for an MH-60R are also present on the sprues.

An MH-60R has also been announced by KH.  Hopefully we will see it soon.

The MH-60S is a future release by KH as well and supposed to be available soon.
