Whats under PaveHawk seats??
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 6:54 PM
Can anyone tell me what is in the yellow recesses under the pavehawk seats? Do they contain avioincs boxes (if so can anyone describe them) or are they to enable the pilots' seats to collapse more safely in the event of a crash? Anyone provide details or pics so I can finish my damn cockpit

I don't work with Pavehawks, but I do work with Army Blackhawks. I can get you some pictures of what is underneath the Pilot and Co-Pilot seats if you post your e-mail. I can't imagine there is too much of a difference. I can tell you that on the Army Hawks this area is typically covered with a thin black plastic material to prevent debris from getting in the area, however this plastic often ends up falling down into the area itself.
