You do realize the original poster was looking for this almost two years ago.  I bet he either built one, or has forgotten about it.  Also, I don't think he has been here since posting.

Hello:

Just saw your post on the CH-53E. The MH-53 from Academy has the parts to do the 53E in the box. All you need is the smaller sponsons which they tell you not to use. If tyou can find an MH-53 you should be good to go.

Not if he wants to build an E model.  The C and E models are totally different aircraft.  C has two engines, a 6-blade rotor, and straight tail. The E has three engines, a 7-blade rotor, and a slanted larger tail to start.

I think that Revell made a HH-53C Super Jolly Green kit a few years ago.  Could that work?

This may be an option. Monochrome Models out of Japan is re-boxing the Academy MH-53E in JMSDF markings. All you would need to do is get some US Navy markings and you would be good.

In 1/48, there are no other options. Revell does a 1/72 CH-53E that may work for you as well.

So ive targeted my next build....however its apparently extremely difficult to find. So I really have 2 questions...1 Anybody know where I can pick one up? 2. As a decent amateur, what would be a good to excellent, available alternative? Im in CT if that helps.
