                        I'm close to finishing my MRC AH-1W Supercobra, but am looking for a color scheme for desert usage (goes along with the Humvee and Abrams). All of the photos I've been able to find either show a three-tone or a gull grey color. Is this it?

                        Squadron Signal's "AH-1W in Action" has a few pics of "desert Whiskeys". As for current day operations, the Whiskeys are painted light and dark ghost gray.

                        According to the Twobobs 'Whiskeys in the Mix' decal set, the two-tone desert scheme colors from Desert Storm are FS 33711 (similar to Sand) and FS 30257 (similar to Dark Tan). The bugger is you'll have to mix your own paints as there aren't any available commercially for the those colors. There is a paint diagram in the instructions, which should be posted at Twobobs website (look in the 'Decals' section). http://www.twobobs.net
