First timer helo kit

My 2 cents [2c]My 2nd son wants to build his first helo and I was wondering what get that wont break the bank that is simple but fairly nice when finished.

Well IMHO, Italeri has some good 1/72nd scale helo kits that would suffice. They build up nice, have adequate detail, and look good when completed. Plus, they won't break the bank Approve [^]. Also Hasegawa have some simple but nice kits as well (the Blackhawk/Sea hawk kits and AH-1 Cobra come to mind).

Italeri UH-1 HUEY's are also easy to build in the 1/72 scale . Many of the clear parts can be installed after painting [windscreen ,side windows etc] saves time on masking and accidental paint spills or overspray . Regards John .
